Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Educator Resources - Connexions

Connexions is a database of free educational materials contributed by faculty members at a wide variety of institutions. All Connexions materials are provided under a Creative CommonsAttribution by” license, allowing you to share and modify them, as long as you provide attribution as specified by the author.

Connexions is distinguished from other open educational resource repositories by the common format shared by all Connexions materials. The fundamental instructional units within Connexions are called “modules.” Groups of related modules can be organized into “collections.” Since all modules have the same format, they can easily be shared, modified, and linked together in new ways.

There are over 16,000 reusable modules and more than 950 collections in Connexions. Take a tour to find out more about Connexions tools, resources, and philosophy.
Here’s an overview of what you’ll find at the Connexions website.

Content

You can search Connexions library of modules by keyword, or browse by subject, author, title, language, or popularity.

After you register for a free account, you can use Connexions’ online tools to package your current instructional materials into Connexions modules. You will also be able to rate modules on a 5-star scale.

Lenses

Lenses are lists of modules or collections selected by individuals or organizations to highlight the materials that they endorse or use. Lenses are sometimes used to indicate which modules are peer reviewed.
