An NVC:

1. Provides evaluative feedback to the National Science Foundation.

2. Provides valuable and informed feedback and advice to Center staff , to help the Center achieve its goals and be managed efficiently and effectively, and

3. Facilitates contacts and collaborative relationships within personal networks to help enable Center impact.

It reflects well on a Center to be able to attract and retain a quality NVC. A quality NVC can be a huge asset to Center performance.
